Tom Elasy

Tom Elasy Tom Elasy, MD, MPH is Director of the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Elasy, the Ann and Roscoe R. Robinson Professor of Clincal Research, has been a faculty member in the Department of Medicine since 1998 and has spent his career devoted to improving health care for people with diabetes.

Elasy earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland and was a resident and chief resident in medicine at the University of Colorado. He received his fellowship training and earned his master's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar.
